Will it cost me anything to use your services?

All services offered by INSURERS OF IDAHO are provided at no extra cost to you. When you buy any health insurance plan through INSURERS OF IDAHO, you'll pay the premiums directly to the insurance company of your choice, and our fees are paid by the insurance company.

Do you offer the lowest prices?

All health insurance premiums are filed with, and regulated by the Idaho Department of Insurance. Whether you buy from INSURERS OF IDAHO, or directly from the insurance company, you'll pay the same monthly premium for the same plan. So enjoy the advantage and convenience of shopping and purchasing your life or health insurance plans through INSURERS OF IDAHO and be assured that you are getting the best available pricing.

If I fill out an application, am I obligated to buy?

No. You are never under obligation to buy a health insurance plan while using our site. After submitting your application you may cancel it at any time during the underwriting process. When you submit an application you will likely include your bank account information, or a check for the initial premium payment. Most health insurance companies will not debit your account, or deposit your check until you are approved. If you are charged or your check is cashed and you are denied coverage for any reason, or you cancel your application prior to approval, the insurance company will issue a refund. A few insurance companies charge an application fee, typically $20 or less. You will be notified in the application if the plan you chose requires an application fee. Please note that any fees are non-refundable.

When will my coverage start?

You choose the start date. However, please allow time for the underwriting process. This can take as little as 3-5 business days or as long as 2 weeks. Some health insurance companies such as Blue Cross of Idaho and Regence Blue Shield will only start coverage on the 1st of the month – if the application is submitted prior to the 8th of the month, you can have coverage from the date of application but you would be required to pay the premium for the entire month. Any coverage must start within 90 days from the application date.

Can I insure just my child?

Yes, enter your child as the primary applicant under what would normally be the adult section. If you have more than one child, the additional children should be entered in the child rows.
